What a great entry just for a ‘warm up’ session considering a few had to opt-out due to Covid. Mick Owen (72) was out for his maiden voyage whilst Dave Skull (53) and Tony Cox (44) donned their shiny red plates! With 22 registered drivers so far and still a few to come 2022 is set to be a good one.

Heat 1 saw T. Bury lead the pack for the first race of the season. After some tyre squealing and the realisation that 4 into 1 definitely doesn’t go through the chicane A. Sifleet followed by D. Bury and L. Sifleet barged their way through with T. Bury having lost out in all the fray in 4th !!! By lap 3 Hancock has passed Sloane to claim 4th.

1st A. Sifleet, 2nd D. Bury, 3rd T. Bury, 4th Hancock, 5th Sloane with Cox completing the top 6.

The final saw some great action. The Sifleets battled it out at the front with A. Sifleet holding onto the lead for 6 laps. L. Sifleet lunged passed into the chicane, the outfits gently clipped D Bury could only sit and watch until A. Sifleet was black flagged with a damning noise reading and he claimed 2nd. The race to watch was between Sloane, T. Bury and Hopes. Lap 2 saw Hopes achieving 4th place with Sloane 5th and T. Bury 6th. On the next lap T. Bury had made up a place and Fowler who’d spun earlier in the race was rapidly making up ground to join the battle. They each fended the other off until lap 7 when T. Bury passed Hopes to claim 4th. With the demise of A. Sifleet they would all gain a place. Fowler went on to pass Sloane to give chase to Hopes.

1st L. Sifleet, 2nd D. Bury, 3rd T. Bury, 4th Hopes, Fowler 5th with Sloane completing the top 6.

Heat 2’s results were very much settled by lap 3. L.Sifleet led from start to finish with son Aaron doing his best to demote him! D. Bury and Fowler lay in 3rd & 4th whilst Hancock once again demoted his team mate to claim 5th with T. Bury doing the same a lap later.

1st L. Sifleet, 2nd A. Sifleet, 3rd D. Bury, 4th Fowler, 5th Hancock and 6th T. Bury.
